How fast does the Acela Express go?

The Acela Express reaches maximum speeds of 150 mph (240 km/h) on certain segments of the Northeast Corridor, particularly between Boston and New York. However, average speeds are lower due to track conditions and station stops. The fastest segment is in Rhode Island and Massachusetts where the train reaches its top speed.

Is food included on Acela Express?

Yes, but only in First Class. First Class passengers receive complimentary at-seat meal service with chef-prepared meals, premium beverages (including alcohol), and snacks. Business Class passengers can purchase food and drinks from the cafe car. All passengers are welcome to bring their own food onboard.
